Berlin in the rain has a habit of turning even an ordinary view into something cinematic. Photographed through a rain-covered window, this image lets the city dissolve into colour: deep green around the edges, a warm shape glowing somewhere in the middle, and just enough detail left to keep you looking for what was actually there.

I like photographs that sit somewhere between observation and abstraction. This one does exactly that. The rain did most of the editing; I only had to notice it.

About the paper

Hahnemühle has been making papers since 1584 and is known for its high quality standard. Photo Rag is a 308 g/m² white cotton paper with a soft feel and lightly textured matte surface, giving prints rich colour, deep blacks and fine detail. It is acid- and lignin-free and highly resistant to ageing. Specifications: 92.5% whiteness, Dmax 1.82, matte gloss level, lightly textured surface, optical brighteners, and 100% cotton composition.

Shipping and fulfilment

Prints are made to order, so please allow approximately one to two weeks for production and delivery. Limited-edition prints may take slightly longer because they are signed before shipping. Shipping costs vary by destination and are kept as low as practical worldwide.
